...and the train kept a rollin'

So much for that wall I hit. It's amazing how inspiration just flows in waves. It's even more amazing that when you do hit that wall and you just kinda wait it out, eventually, that wall turns into a door and on you go. Moving forward.

I managed to crank out two songs this weekend. One of which was more of a therapeutic song and another just inspired by the cruelty of nature on our nations harvest land. I'm pleased w/ how they both came out and I managed to follow my own advice and just really dig deep into myself. It felt really good. Songwriting is a beautiful thing but boy, it wears me out. When I feel wiped out, that's when I know I've done well.

The band thing looks like it could start taking shape sooner than expected. Everyone has been so supportive and positive so I wanna take this time to thank you all for all the positive feedback and words of encouragement! I feel like this is going to be a really special and exciting thing! I can hardly wait!

I'm REALLY looking forward to September 30th at the Carrboro Music Festival. I will be playing my LAST solo show of the year so please be sure to come down to Padget Station from 8:00pm - 9:00pm and get folked up with me one last time!
