So my buddy Spoob came over tonite and we were discussing his album that I am recording and producing. It was so great to have him here. We totally dorked out and just talked music over Pizza and PBRs and it was great. We talked about our fave bands and hooked each other up with some new music to listen to! He hooked me up w/ some Syd Barrett, some old school Floyd and even some indie stuff that he had from some folks in his home town.
It was really great to just strip it down and talk about music. Talk about music we listen to and each others music. I was so inspired just hanging w/ him tonight. We talked about having writers block and even discussed our own songwriting techniques. Ya know, Spoob is one of those guys that just really has this ability to inspire just by being near. He's a great guy and a great songwriter and I'm so excited to be recording and producing him. It's a challenge but at the same time, it's so inspiring to see that I am helping someone achieve a goal of putting out their first CD. I remember being there and to be able to give back what I got so many years ago is great. And I couldn't think of a better person to be giving it back to!
