...and it's off!!!!

first off, allow me to shed some light on my PREVIOUS entry. For those that messaged me w/ concerns, I'm fine and all is good. And NO, this DOES NOT reflect one particular aspect of my life but more so 2 or 3 aspects of my life. So just to say, thanks for the concern but I am fine. It was just a lil bit of poetic statement reflecting a few aspects of my life right now!!!! Now, onto the good stuff...

I just got confirmation that the new CD has been shipped from the manufacturer! I'm so excited to get it and make sure that all looks good and sounds good. There is a certain level of nervousness that goes with releasing a CD. You have the nervousness of the recording aspect of it. Ya know, making sure it's all done well. Then you have the mixing/producing of the CD which, if you're not careful and you don't eventually "let it go", you could end up with Chinese Democracy Part Deux on your hands! Then there's the stress of having it reproduced. Making sure that the artwork looks good, that the packaging is as promised, and that they all actually PLAY! This is the level I am at now!

I can't wait to just have it in my hands and just see it and hear it. The best way to describe it is like having a child I guess. You work hard on creating it. You have a few failed attempts and then eventually... BINGO! You get it right. Then you nurture it and wait patiently for it to come into the world for all to see. Then you have this amazing creating made that you love and share with the world in hopes that all who come in contact with it will get a sense of joy and happiness. That's what I hope for with this CD!

This CD is probably my fave of them all so far. If anything because I feel that most of the songs were brought about inspiration in a turn of events over the last year that really challenged me as in individual. This year really had me getting to know myself a lot more than ever and I realized that there was a lot that I never knew about myself. Some good and some not so good but nonetheless, it's me and you know what, I like me! These songs really helped me to get to know myself and even in some cases, get to know those close to me that I didn't really know all that well.

Oh yeah, and then I have to promote it... haha. ANOTHER level of stress and work. But hey, I do this why??? BECAUSE I FUCKING LOVE IT!
